Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel overlooking the shores of Lake Victoria. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing after your international flight while receiving a detailed briefing about your exciting East African expedition.

Day 2: Entebbe – Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, travel north through Uganda’s scenic countryside to Murchison Falls National Park, with an optional stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. Continue into the park and visit the spectacular Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty Nile crashes through a narrow seven-metre gorge before plunging 43 metres below.

Day 3: Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari

Begin the day with a thrilling morning game drive in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, and numerous antelope species. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the River Nile to the base of Murchison Falls, where hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife gather along the riverbanks.

Day 4: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park

Travel southwest to Kibale Forest National Park, passing tea plantations, crater lakes, and the picturesque foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains. Arrive at your rainforest lodge surrounded by one of Africa’s richest primate habitats.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland

After an early briefing, venture into Kibale Forest in search of wild chimpanzees. Later, explore the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, renowned for its exceptional birdlife and diverse primates.

Day 6: Kibale – Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping to admire scenic crater lakes along the way. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before embarking on an evening boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, home to one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos.

Day 7: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following a morning game drive through the Ishasha Sector in search of the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Experience one of Africa’s greatest wildlife encounters as you trek through Bwindi’s ancient rainforest to spend an unforgettable hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family.

Day 9: Bwindi – Kigali, Rwanda

Cross into Rwanda through the scenic Cyanika border before arriving in Kigali. Enjoy a guided city tour, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and vibrant local markets.

Day 10: Kigali – Akagera National Park

Travel east to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive while searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and rhinos.

Day 11: Game Drive – Boat Safari – Flight to Nairobi

Enjoy a sunrise game drive followed by a boat safari on Lake Ihema, famous for its hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife. Later, transfer to Kigali for your regional flight to Nairobi, Kenya.

Day 12: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley for the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy an afternoon game drive before settling into your safari lodge.

Day 13: Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara
