Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a leisurely evening exploring Entebbe’s botanical gardens or relaxing by the shores of Lake Victoria. Your guide will provide a comprehensive safari briefing before you prepare for the incredible journey ahead.

Day 2: Entebbe – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, begin your scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, travelling through Uganda’s picturesque countryside, rolling hills, and traditional villages. Stop at the Equator for photographs before continuing through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the evening and relax in preparation for tomorrow’s gorilla trekking experience.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife experiences. Trek through the dense rainforest accompanied by experienced rangers in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once located, spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat before returning to your lodge to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime achievement.

Day 4: Bwindi – Kigali (Rwanda)

Enjoy breakfast before crossing into neighboring Rwanda through the scenic Cyanika border. Continue to Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and safest cities. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a guided city tour featuring the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local artisan markets, and cultural attractions before checking into your hotel.

Day 5: Kigali – Nairobi (Kenya)

Following breakfast, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Upon arrival, meet your Kenyan safari guide before transferring to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore Nairobi’s vibrant dining and cultural scene.

Day 6: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nairobi after breakfast and travel through the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch before embarking on your first thrilling afternoon game drive across the reserve’s vast grasslands in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, cheetahs, and many other wildlife species.

Day 7: Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara

Spend the entire day exploring one of Africa’s richest wildlife ecosystems. Search for the legendary Big Five while visiting the famous Mara River, where crocodiles, hippos, and—during migration season—dramatic wildebeest river crossings create unforgettable safari moments. Optional activities include a hot air balloon safari and a visit to a traditional Maasai village.

Day 8: Masai Mara – Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)

After breakfast, depart for the Kenya-Tanzania border, completing immigration formalities before meeting your Tanzanian safari guide. Continue into the legendary Serengeti National Park, where an afternoon game drive introduces you to Tanzania’s endless wildlife-rich plains before arriving at your safari camp.

Day 9: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti

Explore the magnificent Serengeti throughout the day with your expert guide. Day 10: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Lake Manyara

Day 12: Lake Manyara – Tarangire National Park

Day 13: Tarangire – Arusha

Following a leisurely breakfast, enjoy a short morning game drive before travelling to Arusha. Spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge or exploring the city’s local markets and cultural attractions.

Day 14: Arusha – Zanzibar (Optional Extension) or Leisure Day

After breakfast, you may either enjoy a relaxing day in Arusha with optional coffee plantation visits and cultural experiences or choose an optional flight to Zanzibar for a beach extension. This flexible day allows travelers to unwind before concluding their East African adventure.

Day 15: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha Airport, or continue with your onward travel arrangements.
