Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya)

Your East African adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi following a safari briefing by your professional guide.

Travel through the spectacular Great Rift Valley with a stop at one of its scenic viewpoints before continuing through Narok Town into the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve.

After lunch at your safari lodge, enjoy your first afternoon game drive across the reserve’s endless grasslands. Search for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and numerous antelope species as you begin your African safari experience.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara

Spend the day exploring one of Africa’s finest wildlife reserves.

Depart after breakfast with packed lunch for a full-day game drive in search of the legendary Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino.

Visit the Mara River, where crocodiles and hippos inhabit the waters and, during the migration season (July–October), witness the dramatic river crossings of the Great Wildebeest Migration.

Continue exploring the reserve’s diverse habitats before returning to your lodge for dinner.

Optional Activities

Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Safari
Maasai Cultural Village Visit

Day 3: Masai Mara – Isebania Border – Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)

After an early breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and drive south toward the Isebania border crossing, where you’ll complete Kenya and Tanzania immigration formalities before meeting your Tanzanian safari guide.

Continue into the world-famous Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its endless plains and extraordinary wildlife.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive en route to your lodge while searching for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles.

Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 4: Full-Day Safari in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, embark on a full-day safari through the legendary Serengeti.

The Serengeti supports one of the largest concentrations of wildlife on Earth and offers excellent opportunities to observe predators including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and African wild dogs.

Depending on the season, you may witness portions of the Great Migration as vast herds of wildebeests and zebras roam the plains in search of fresh grazing.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your wildlife adventure.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy a morning game drive while departing Serengeti National Park before traveling toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, admire spectacular landscapes, Maasai settlements, and volcanic highlands.

Arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where breathtaking panoramic views await. Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge overlooking the crater.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden.”

The crater supports one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, flamingos, and the endangered black rhinoceros.

Spend the day exploring this unique ecosystem while enjoying exceptional wildlife viewing and photography.

After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, ascend the crater walls and continue to your lodge near Karatu.

Day 7: Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

Following breakfast, drive to nearby Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its lush groundwater forests, alkaline lake, and diverse wildlife.

Enjoy a morning game drive where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, baboons, buffaloes, hippos, flamingos, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

After lunch, continue to Arusha for your overnight stay.

Day 8: Arusha – Departure

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning depending on your departure schedule.

Your guide will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable East African safari.

Alternatively, travelers may choose to return to Nairobi or extend their adventure to Zanzibar, Tarangire National Park, or Mount Kilimanjaro.
