Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi after a briefing by your professional safari guide. Journey southwest through Kenya’s spectacular countryside, passing traditional villages and fertile farmlands before descending into the magnificent Great Rift Valley.

Stop at one of the scenic viewpoints overlooking the Rift Valley, where you’ll have an opportunity to take photographs of one of Africa’s most remarkable geological features. Continue your journey through Narok Town, the gateway to Maasai land, before arriving at the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch.

After checking into your safari lodge or tented camp, relax briefly before setting off on your first afternoon game drive. Explore the reserve’s vast open plains in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, and numerous antelope species as the African sun begins to set.

Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, depart with packed lunch boxes for a full-day wildlife safari in one of Africa’s richest ecosystems.

The Masai Mara is renowned for its exceptional concentration of wildlife and offers one of the highest chances of spotting the famous Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhino. Throughout the day, your experienced guide will navigate the reserve’s diverse habitats in search of predators, large herbivores, and countless bird species.

Depending on the season, particularly between July and October, you may witness the world-famous Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles cross between Tanzania’s Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara in one of nature’s greatest spectacles.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location within the reserve, often near the Mara River, where crocodiles and hippos inhabit the waters and wildlife frequently gathers to drink.

Continue exploring different sections of the reserve during the afternoon before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Optional Activity

Visit a traditional Maasai Village to learn about the culture, traditions, and daily lifestyle of the Maasai people (additional cost).
Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Safari followed by a champagne bush breakfast (additional cost).

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Return to Nairobi

Wake up early for one final game drive as the African plains come alive with the first rays of sunlight. Early mornings provide excellent opportunities to spot predators returning from their nightly hunts and observe wildlife at their most active.

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, passing once again through the Great Rift Valley. Stop for lunch en route before arriving in Nairobi during the late afternoon, where your guide will transfer you to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Masai Mara safari.
